Search tips for Vossaboki Online
With this search engine you may search for specific words or phrases within the Vossaboki Online. In Vossaboki, the spelling of the endings of a surname may differ (i.e. for a female: knutsdotter knutsdatter knutsdr knutsdtr or for a male: knutson knutsen knutsson knutssen). To avoid this problem use the wildcard * in your search, in this case knuts*. If you just want to search for a female you may use knutsd* or if you just want to search for a male use knuts*n The larger farms are often divided into several "bruk" (=small-holdings). The name of a "bruk" is in Vossaboki mentioned along with a number (i.e. Bruk 6. Hagen). To search for a specific "bruk" use brackets around the words. If that fails, it then tries to locate pages which contain any words in your search query. If that happens a short message is displayed at the top of the search results indicating this has been done.
