He rented Øvre Ullestad after the death of his parents in 1759 and the same year he purchased the farm-option at a price of 1½ laup. Then he bought the farm from judge Fleischer in 1763. In 1775 he sold Ullestadteigen to Lars Knutson (Haugo). Torgils was several times brought before the court, prosecuted for fighting during the 1770-ies. He was probably forced to sell the farm as a consequense of the trials. In 1782 he changed farms with Aslak Henrikson at Bauthus at 2 pund 4 mark and since then he lived at the farm Bauthus.
Died 1784. Buried Dec 5, 1784.

Marks used by Torgils. The first in 1768 and 1773, the second in 1780, the last in 1782.
